These fairies looked like just what I wanted at first glance. I ordered Fiona and a companion fairy. I was very surprised to find, when they arrived, that they are not made out of metal at all, but some sort of plastic or resin! They LOOK like metal in the photos, but nowhere in the description did it say what they were made of. Also, even though the dimensions given in the description are accurate, the pictures make the fairies LOOK much smaller than they really are (must have found some jumbo rocks or stumps to set them on for the photo). I may end up keeping them just because I will lose so much money shipping them back, but they're definitely NOT what I thought I was getting!

These little fairies are an awesome additon to a yard they are very cute. I now have 5 all together. The only thing I found, was if they are going to be put outside , i would recommend keeping them out of a lot of sun cause they do begin to fade quickly. I repainted mine with a rustoliem brown tecture paint and they turned out perfect and they no longer are fading and they still look the same. Very cute additions.

I'm a fairy lover. My husband firmly believes I'm obsessed! I have owned various types/materials of garden fairies through the years, and this is by far one of my favorites. It already looks weathered, so the elements will not affect its beauty much, and the design is fitting for anything from flowers to vegetables! Love the detail, and the color is nice and earthy.

I wanted a few little figurines to hide in and around our garden. These earth fairies are perfect for that; not so small that no one will ever notice them, but not so big and garishly colored that your garden looks like it threw up Disney. Actually, these little fairies are a very earthy brown in color, and look really natural nestled down in the ground cover below a tree or bush, perhaps stashed in the corner of a raised planter bed. Based on some other recent reviews posted here, it sounds like placing them in higher locations should be avoided. I do worry that my toddlers might send their soccer ball flying into one of these little gals and potentially chip a wing or something. Hopefully, my little fairies are hidden well enough outta harms way. We'll see....

I am very disappointed in this purchase and requested a refund, which was denied because the figurine broke "during use." This cute little fairy arrived in good shape, carefully packed and just as pictured, but with NO warning that it is very fragile! I placed it outside on our patio table, and with the first gust of wind it blew over and broke into many pieces. Had there been a warning about how breakable these figures are, I would not have ordered this one! I specifically looked for resin instead of ceramic or glass for outdoor use because I believed, falsely, that would be unbreakable. These fairies are advertised as "garden statuary," but a warning should be added to tell customers to place them in a protected location--which in most cases is NOT outdoors!
