nice piece but needs clear coatMar 26, 2012
By Alan This is a nice bird bath but they put a cheap grey coating on the back to protect the paint on the dragon flies and got a lot of over spray around them. If you take an emery cloth and wipe the over spray off the edges then go to Walmart and get a $1.00 can of clear coat then spray the back with at least 2 coats of it, it will then be a great piece that will last throughout the years and look great. Just be careful not to wipe off the paint they use for the dragonflies or butterflies. It is molded glass so the bug or bird design as well as cattails is molded in the back so if you are crafty you can totally repaint them and still keep the same shape to whatever bug or bird design you ordered. The price is not bad compared to some of the other ones I have seen out there. My girlfriend loves it and if shes happy then I'm happy.
